As Miguel Tejada ran off the field in the fourth inning, he pumped his fist above his head. Steve Trachsel had stranded two runners in scoring position by striking out Aaron Hill, who homered in the second. It's as though Tejada sensed that the game was shifting in the Orioles' favor.

Sure enough, the Orioles began the bottom half of the inning with a Jay Payton single - the Orioles' first hit off Gustavo Chacin - a Melvin Mora walk, a Nick Markakis two-run triple and a Tejada RBI single.

Even the first out was loud, with Aubrey Huff lining to right.

Curious lineup decision: Jay Gibbons is on the bench despite being 9-for-17 with two homers and six RBIs lifetime against Chacin. Huff is 1-for-14.
