Freddy Deza surrendered a two-run homer to Jason Wood in the ninth inning to give the Florida Marlins an 8-6 victory over the Orioles.

Seriously, it was more important that Jeremy Guthrie threw two solid innings, Todd Williams had great movement on his pitches, Chris Gomez went 2-for-2 with three RBIs - including a two-run homer - Jeff Fiorentino, Nick Markakis and Corey Patterson also had two hits, and Danys Baez escaped a jam.

Jay Gibbons didn't have a single ball hit to him at first base, but he didn't drop his glove or get hit in the face with a throw. We'll call the day a success.
