A crowd of 8,661, the third-largest recorded at Fort Lauderdale Stadium since the Orioles moved into it 12 years ago, saw the Boston Red Sox post a 2-1 victory. It's the ninth sellout since the Orioles have been here.

Lots of Red Sox fans, as you can imagine. Once again, they've taken over the Orioles' ballpark.

I'm sure they were thrilled that David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez and Jason Varitek weren't on the trip.

Peter and John Angelos sat in the owner's box. I loved it when they started The Wave.

Just kidding.

Danys Baez loaded the bases in the ninth but got out of the jam. Former Oriole Alex Ochoa - yes, he's still playing - stroked a double.
