Injured Oriole

Reliever Paul Shuey appeared to injury his surgically repaired right hip, or his ankle, while racing to cover home on a wild pitch in the seventh inning. He was hobbling as he got near the plate, and kept favoring his right side while walking off the field with head trainer Richie Bancells.

Chad Bradford replaced Shuey with the Orioles leading, 4-2.

Shuey hit former Oriole Darnell McDonald, and second baseman Freddie Bynum made two errors on one play, bobbling a grounder and firing the ball to the Orioles' bench that sits outside the dugout.
