Most often asked question is if the Ravens can go far by winning with their style of play? Of course, but it's hard. The Ravens have had their share of the breaks, and you really need to see some offensive improvement as the season goes on. I don't see that happening because quarterback Steve McNair, despite being great in the clutch, is so erratic, and the Ravens haven't been able to get much of a running game. Their present style worked in 2000-01, but the Ravens had the league's best player in Ray Lewis, and a defensive line that dominated. The present group isn't as dominating, and if San Diego hadn't gone conservative in the second half, the Chargers would have given the Ravens problems. It will be hard for this team to match up with offensive powers like Cincy, Indy and the Patriots, but anything is possible. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that if you play or coach long enough, you get your share of the breaks. The Ravens had a lot of them go against them last year, and are getting more in their favor in 2006. But at this pace, they might use them up before the end of the season.
