Check out this story and see if you understand where Hank Aaron is coming from, and I don't mean Atlanta:

It would be less complicated, of course, if Bonds didn't break Aaron's record, but it seems inevitable, barring injury. And I didn't think he had a shot at it going into this season, given the condition of his knee. But I think there's enough left in the tank.
Will you stand and cheer if it happens? Or at least lean forward on your barstool?
I remember racing downstairs to tell my father that Aaron had passed The Babe. I even had a poster on my wall depicting the moment - Aaron's swing, the ball circled so it could be found.
I didn't discover girls until much later.
Now I wish I had stuck to baseball, but that's another blog entry for another time.
I'll be co-hosting MASN Playmakers today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. They can't keep me off the airwaves, no matter how hard they try.
We're hoping to get Peter Boulware to call into the show, if not make an appearance. Looks like Gary Williams will contact us at 6:30 p.m. to talk Terps hoops. And you know efforts are being made to get Jim Fassel on the line.
