Losing 6-1 in the eighth

Tonight's attendance: 24,551.

Red Sox fans have given up, too.

When manager Sam Perlozzo went to the mound in the seventh inning to remove Julio Manon, the bullpen gates swung open and left-hander Bruce Chen started running onto the field.

Chen almost reached second base before making a U-turn and heading in the opposite direction. Perlozzo wanted Russ Ortiz.

Speaking of Manon...nevermind.

Dead horse, remember?

If the Red Sox win tonight, they'll be 17-1 against the Orioles since Sept. 3, 2005.

The Orioles had runners on first and second in the first, second, fifth and seventh innings, and the bases loaded in the sixth - and they've scored one run.

To them, "clutch" is something you press down with your left foot.
