Something for you to chew on before bed:

I would stop taking the Astros calls.

People around here who previously were convinced that the Orioles wouldn't trade Miguel Tejada by the non-waiver deadline are beginning to waver, mostly because of the Angels, who appear willing to deal Ervin Santana despite Bartolo Colon's health issues.

Maybe I'm just stubborn, but I still want either Brandon Wood or Howie Kendrick included in any deal. The Orioles don't have to trade Tejada. They have him locked up for three more years, and his contract now looks like a bargain. He's their top run producer. He's a guy you still can build around.

I'd still be surprised if the Angels parted with Santana. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Wood. Kendrick. Get one of them here and I'm on board.
