'That's All,' all right

And Ace Young has sung his last on American Idol, which is kind of sad, considering how over the moon he was about getting semi-positive words (if not tone) from Simon. There are a couple of things I can't believe: One is that Chris Daughtry and Paris Bennett were in the bottom three, too. If it takes rock performances for Chris to get votes, next week (greatest love songs) is going to hurt him. And Paris was wondrous on Tuesday. But I guess we're at the point now where there aren't enough obvious choices to fill the bottom three each week.

The other thing I can't believe is that they made Taylor choose which group he thought was the bottom three. I like this show better when there's no back-stabbing -- there's no need for it.

Speaking of back-stabbing, Survivor is on tonight, and since Terry still has the immunity idol, pretty much no matter what, one of the former Casaya tribe is (finally) going to be out. Plus, there is this medical emergency in the promos. We'll see how that goes. I'll be out of town, so it might be a bit before I can watch that one, unless the timing gods are on my side. Stay tuned!
