Here yesterday, gone today

I saw Val Majewski's mother standing outside the Orioles' clubhouse after last night's game and thought, "Too bad she didn't get to see her son play, especially in a blowout."

Now she'll have to go to Ottawa again.

The Orioles optioned Majewski to Triple-A today and purchased the contract of outfielder Luis Terrero from Ottawa. They moved pitcher Tim Byrdak to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster.

Terrero, a right-handed hitter, signed as a free agent on April 6 after the Arizona Diamondbacks released him. He spent parts of the last three seasons with Arizona, batting .239 in 155 games. The Orioles activated him on Saturday.

Terrero batted .412 in six games with the Lynx.
