Don't get too excited. The Orioles have acquired corner infielder Andy Tracy, 32, from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later.

Tracy broke into the majors with the Montreal Expos in 2000 and appeared in 83 games, batting .260 with 11 homers and 32 RBIs. A left-handed hitter, Tracy appeared in 16 games with the Colorado Rockies in 2004.

Last year, Tracy played in 12 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs. He'll soon report to camp here and most likely wind up in Ottawa. Only a few hours ago, I was told there was "nothing warm at the moment" regarding trades. I guess this doesn't exactly qualify as a scorcher. But we'll take it.
