The Orange and Brown served notice with a decisive victory, Hokie4Life pulled off a Monday night comeback and That Fantasy Guy's own Bad Moon BBQ dodge a credibility-crippling defeat as the Charm City Champions League kicked off the 2005 season.

The O&B rolled a league-best 91.39 points, thanks in large part to receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Antwaan Randle El, to overwhelm Tooth & Nail (47.34), which got just 3.79 total points from a backfield of Mike Anderson, Travis Henry an Moe Williams.

Hokie trailed Bohica after Sunday's games, but the Philly connection of Terrell Owens, David Akers and the Eagles defense teamed up to lift the Lifers to a 79.77-67.05 victory. Bohica left 51.46 points on the bench, including surprise scorers Brandon Jacobs (8.60), Patrick Crayton (11.93) and the Indy defense (21.00).

Bad Moon BBQ kicked the season off right with a nice opening night performance from Tom Brady, then scratched out a 62.39-52.09 win against The Destroyas, whose seven-man bench outscored their nine-man starting lineup. Reserves Drew Bledsoe (20.99), Keyshawn Johnson (16.33) or the Tampa Bay defense (16.00) could have put the Wreckas over the top.

Lombardi Party used a balanced attack, getting two touchdowns apiece from RBs Deuce McAllister and Corey Dillon in a 77.79-49.75 win against Gordon Gekko. The Gekkos were doomed by the poor outings by starters Jamal Lewis, Hines Ward and Jason Witten and didn't get a decent game out of any of their three QBs - Chad Pennington, Aaron Brooks and Steve McNair.

Automatic Winner lived up to its name with a 74.30-51.53 win against Purple Haze, which had the misfortune of having Daunte Culpepper and Domanick Davis in the lineup. The Autos got just two touchdowns – from their Carolina combo of Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith – but got plenty of yardage points from Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis and Torry Holt.

The Fordyce Redbugs rose up for a 81.99-60.94 victory against Rick's Renegades, which got a double-dose of defeat with the loss of WR Javon Walker. The Bugs three-man backfield of Tiki Barber, Priest Holmes and Brian Westbrook did most of the work, and Jimmy Smith's 20.67 points – tops among all receivers - didn't hurt, either.
