BET 'Celebration of Gospel' airs Jan. 25

Singersroom.com reports that BET's faith-based music programs, "Celebration of Gospel" and "Sunday Best," will air this month and in March, respectively.

Hosted by Steve Harvey, "Celebration of Gospel" will air for two hours beginning at 8 p.m. Jan. 25.

Some of gospel's top artists will perform on the show, including Kirk Franklin, Trinity 5:7, Smokie Norful, Karen Clark Sheard, Rance Allen, Donnie McClurkin and many more.

The network's "American Idol"-like reality show, "Sunday Best," will start March 8 at 9 p.m. The show helps to give flight to budding gospel artists.

Auditions for the show were held in Atlanta last weekend. They continue later this month at two more locations: Jan. 25 in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place and Jan. 31 in Washington at BET Studio 2.
