Tyler Perry Production works with union writers

Tyler Perry, who is being sued by a Dallas woman who says he stole her idea to make "Diary of a Mad Black Woman,'' has put to rest one problem that was on his radar earlier this year.

In an agreement with the Writers Guild of America, Perry's Atlanta production company now allows its writers to unionize and will work to increase the number of writers of color in Hollywood.

The agreement came after the union protested Perry's firing of four writers of Perry's "House of Payne" show who were seeking union representation.
