The mother and brother of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were found slain today in a South Side Chicago home, according to officials and a publicist for Hudson.
The personal publicist of Jennifer Hudson told the Chicago Tribune that Chicago police are investigating the deaths of the actress' mother and brother. Publicist Lisa Kasteler said Friday that no further comment will be made about the deaths of Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the two victims as Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, both of the same residence in the 7000 block of South Yale Avenue.
According to public records, the home is owned by Darnell Donnerson, Hudson's mother.
A Chicago police spokeswoman also said a 7-year-old boy was reported missing. Police identified him as Julian King, and said he is believed to be the grandson of the dead woman. An Amber Alert has been issued for the missing boy.
The police said that they are searching for a William Balfour as a suspect in the double homicide.
