Southeast street robberies outpace other districts

The Southeast District is outpacing the rest of Baltimore in street robberies this year, comprising 412 of the 2,073 street robberies in the city.

In two-thirds of the incidents, the robbers were armed. In half of the incidents, the robbers were armed with firearms. Click on the points in the map below for more details on each street robbery.

The Southeast District accounts for 20 percent of the city’s street robberies this year. At this time last year, there were 332 street robberies in the district, compared to this year’s 412.

The Central District was the only one showing a significant reduction so far this year from 316 to 224.

Patterson Park

While few robberies occur south of Patterson Park, other surrounding areas are frequent targets for street robberies.

Fells Point bars

The areas surrounding the restaurants and bars in Fells Point are also frequent targets.
