Paul Rucker's 'Rewind'

This exhibit of surreal Ku Klux Klan robes adorning mannequins with different skin tones didn't raise much of a fuss when it ran in Baltimore in the fall of 2015. But two years later, when the Baltimore artist Paul Rucker's "Rewind" opened at York College of Pennsylvania, officials closed it to the public, saying they feared the subject matter would be inflammatory. Because the show was scheduled to open just a few weeks after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., turned violent, attendance was limited to the college's faculty, students and staff.
