Men Making a Difference

They carry different life experiences, are learned in different disciplines and focus their energies on different endeavors, but they share an altruistic spirit.

The five men Howard Magazine is highlighting here seek to make our community a better place through
their efforts. They invest their time and passion to help neighbors adopt a healthy lifestyle, to create affordable and dignified places to call home, to support students socially and academically, to pay it forward to families struggling with cancer and to assist those in need both near and far.

There are innumerable men and women doing commendable things in the Howard County community and here we highlight just a few. But we think their contributions are noteworthy. Click on the links below to read about each person's efforts.

BRIAN JOLLES, fitness crusader

STACY SPANN, affordable housing advocate

DAVID RODRIGUEZ, youth mentor

MARK GREGORY, cancer survivor

DANA SOHR, social activist
