Pathway PS

Forgot to mention in yesterday's post that the southwest corner of the pathway around Lake Kittamaqundi is finally open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic after being fenced off for the better part of a year while Columbia Association contractors worked to rebuild the lake's isthmus. The work continues, but walkers and cyclists no longer have to navigate the mulch detour.

That area of the path still has quite a bit of dried mud and gravel strewn about, not to mention all the post-Irene debris of limbs and leaves. So go carefully through there, and everywhere you take Columbia's pathways these days.

You never know when, rounding a corner, you might encounter unexpected timber.
