Alexander Boyle's commentary "Trump's financial holdings should disqualify him from the presidency" (Sept. 28) is laughably one-sided.
I do not like either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. But at least Mr. Trump has earned his money by building things and creating jobs.
Ms. Clinton has said that she and her husband, Bill Clinton, were broke and in debt when they left the White House in 2001. Since then they have gone from zero to $250 million while creating nothing. She had government jobs and Bill had no job.
They got that money by selling their influence. When Ms. Clinton was secretary of state, her husband got millions of dollars in speaking fees from corporations that were involved with the State Department. After Ms. Clinton left the State Department, she got $21 million in two years for speeches to corporations that thought that she could help them when she became president.
If Mr. Boyle is afraid of Mr. Trump's potential conflicts of interest, he can't possibly vote for Ms. Clinton because she has already disqualified herself under the same ethical standard that disqualified Mr. Trump.
