An article in Friday's business pages incorrectly stated the number of hotel-night bookings Visit Baltimore loses due to lack of space or available dates at the convention center. Baltimore's convention and tourism agency has been turning away business averaging 200,000 hotel-night bookings annually.
The Sun regrets the error.
An article in Wednesday's paper quoted opponents of the State Center redevelopment project as saying: "It makes no sense to squander over $1.5 billion taxpayer dollars on this ill-advised project." The proposed midtown Baltimore development is a public-private partnership that would include investments by the state as well as by private parties. Not all of the $1.5 billion would come from taxpayers.
