Alzheimer's Association

Volunteer opportunities include office and clerical assistance, including data entry and mailings; community outreach representation, including attending health fairs and speakers; help line specialization; and family support group facilitation. In addition, volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising events such as Walk to End Alzheimer's, galas and charity golf outings. Training and materials are provided. Chesapeake Arts Center

Volunteers 16 and older are needed to serve as ushers and at the box office for performances at the Hammonds Lane and/or Studio 194 theaters. Volunteers are also needed to help in the gift shop, with mailings and other activities. Information: or 410-636-6597.


Food bank

Animal Welfare Council

The council seeks new members for a citizen panel to promote the sensitive and humane treatment of domestic animals and wildlife in the county. The council is particularly interested in adding members with legal, educational and marketing experience. Girl Scouts
