Meet the authors Ruth Kassinger, Steve Vogel and Barbara Rogan will discuss their works of fiction, nonfiction and military history at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. John's College's Francis Scott Key Auditorium, 60 College Ave. in Annapolis. Annual event is sponsored by the Caritas Society of St. John's College. Proceeds benefit Caritas Society grants for St. John's College students in need. Admission is $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Landscape design program Landscape designer and native plant enthusiast Chris Pax presents "Designing for Waterfront Landscapes" from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at Adkins Arboretum, 12610 Eveland Road in Ridgely.
