Concert series

The Annapolis Maritime Museum's Tides and Tunes summer concert series continues with The Shatners at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at 723 Second St. Admission is free, but a $10 per person donation is welcome. Pool is open

The outdoor pool at Truxtun Park is open daily for the summer season through Labor Day at 251 Pump House Road in Annapolis. Hours are 12:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Fridays; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. weekends and holidays. In addition, there will be lap swimming from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Daily pool rates and season pass information can be found at annapolis.gov/recreation. Commercially made bathing suits are required. Swim diapers, plus eco-suits, are required for non toilet-trained children. Beginner, intermediate and advanced swimming lessons are offered. The Penguins Swim Team will have home swim meets on June 27 and July 18. The pool will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on those dates. The pool can also be rented for private events. Seniors directory

The Department of Aging and Disabilities, in partnership with the Senior Services Provider Group, and the Friends of Arundel Seniors have published the 2015-2016 edition of "Services for Seniors, Adults with Disabilities, and Caregivers." The free directory is available at the Heritage Office Complex, 2666 Riva Road in Annapolis, the seven senior activity centers, and public libraries. Operation Paperback

This nonprofit collects used books nationwide and sends them to U.S. troops deployed overseas. Since 1999, more than 1 million books have been shipped to military personnel around the world. Register your bike

The Annapolis Police Department is sponsoring a bicycle registration program. The owner's name, address and phone number and the bike's serial number, manufacturer and color are recorded in the department's database. Registration is available to any Annapolis resident. To schedule an appointment, contact Cpl. Craig Medley at 410-268-9000, ext. 7225, or cemedley@annapolis.gov. Owners must bring their bikes when registering. Neighborhood associations should contact Medley if they want to hold a community registration.

Child care grants

If you are a grandparent or relative, 55 or older, and the primary caregiver for a child 18 or younger, you may be eligible for a grant program offered by the National Family Caregiver Support Program. Grants are available to assist with care, clothing, school supplies and activities. Information: 410-222-4464, ext. 3043.

Fingerprinting

The Annapolis Police Department offers fingerprinting services for the public from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at 199 Taylor Ave. For fees and information, call 410-268-9000 or go to annapolis.gov/police.

Historical research

The Kuethe Library Historical & Genealogical Research Center, 5 Crain Highway, SE, Glen Burnie, operated jointly by the historical society and the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays year-round. Information: 410-760-9679.
