Best ice cream: Taharka Brothers

The socially conscious company not only produces delicious small-batch ice cream and sorbets in a Clipper Mill factory, but it also strives to promote leadership skills among urban men. Taharka products can be found at restaurants, shops and its seasonal truck, which can be spotted at area events. We especially like the pistachio, salty caramel and butter-pecan ice cream, but we love the company's creativity with other flavors, such as one paying tribute to Baltimore author D. Watkins' book "The Cook Up." taharkabrothers.com
