Decked out in hot pants and go-go boots, a young Jeanne Bell caught William Donald Schaefer's eye 40 years ago at a City Hall protest. The two went on to have a long but very private relationship.
Bell offers a peek into their life together in an article I've written for The Sun's magazine, sharing love notes, home movies, photos and recorded phone messages.
