Who are Community Contributors?

Community Contributors are registered users of BaltimoreSun.com, Touch.BaltimoreSun.com. TowsonTimes.com, TheAegis.com and other Baltimore Sun Media Group publications who have photos, articles, announcements and press releases to share with other readers. This content can be posted online for free using our publishing tools. Please see our FAQ for more information. Are Community Contributors paid?
No. We do not pay Community Contributors to post content.

Does it cost anything to post content?
No. Posting articles and photos is free. It is also free to findlocal.baltimoresun.com/user_updates/submission/event" target="_self">share events with us.

How are Community Contributors identified?
Contributors can identify themselves by their own names or as organizations, brands, PR firms, companies or other groups or individuals. If a member does not choose a display name, their username is listed on the articles and photos they post. Display names and usernames may or may not identify our digital members by name.  

What kind of stories do readers post?
Readers post community announcements, articles, press releases and information about upcoming local happenings. Contributions appearing on our website are unsolicited and unpaid. Opinions, claims and advice do not reflect those of the Baltimore Sun Media Group. Content that does not meet our Terms of Service will be taken down.

How can I become a Community Contributor?
If you’d like to share announcements, press releases, events, photos and other stories, register for a free BaltimoreSun.com account.
