Today will be partly sunny with clouds moving in during the day. Winds will be out of the north northeast with temperatures hitting a daytime high of 48 and falling to a low of 33 overnight. Well, it's back: S-N-O-W! After midnight snow and rain will reach the area. There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Snow could accumulate up to two inches. What a way to celebrate the first day of spring!

The Board of Estimates authorized municipal pension director Roselyn H. Spencer to spend up to $600 a day for hotel expenses and $150 a day for food and other items while attending the African Private Equity Venture Capital Associates meeting in late April that is being held in London. City pension officials and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake defended the cost of the $5,600 weeklong trip.

A federal court on Wednesday allowed the U.S. Department of Labor to resume processing guest worker applications, granting a reprieve to Eastern Shore crab houses and other businesses that rely on foreigners to do jobs they say Americans won't. 

As state lawmakers consider several bills related to the use of force by police, the American Civil Liberties Union reported Wednesday that 109 people died after encounters with police in Maryland between 2010 and 2014.

A bill that would grant married lesbians the same fertility treatment benefits as husbands and wives is advancing in the Maryland General Assembly.

Morgan State University President David Wilson said Wednesday that the school would hire more police officers, increase the punishment for fighting and require students to undergo conflict resolution training following recent violent incidents on the Northeast Baltimore campus, the latest a fight that left three students injured in a Tuesday stabbing incident.

Tony Giro, the co-head coach of women's lacrosse at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is on leave as the university investigates threats older players made against freshmen this month on a text-messaging group chat, officials said.

Court dates for former Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck's rape case have been set for late June in a Delaware courtroom, officials said Wednesday.
