Manny Machado hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the 15th inning to give the Orioles a 10-7 win over the Braves on June 22. The win included a wild ninth inning in which the Orioles scored six runs, only to watch Atlanta tie the game with four runs in the bottom half to force extra innings. Chris Davis also hit his first homer since May 9 in the fifth.
Davis, who was given 10 days to work on his swing with hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh and vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson, drove in three runs the next night to help the Orioles win, 7-5. Mark Trumbo hit a grand slam in the first inning, and Dylan Bundy allowed two runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings to improve to 3-0 in June. Zach Britton earned his first save, and the O's had their fourth win in six games.
