Adam Jones' walk-off home run on Opening Day

Adam Jones' home run on Fernando Rodney's first pitch to start the bottom of the 11th inning March 29 on Opening Day gave the Orioles a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Minnesota Twins, and hope sprang eternal. It marked the third straight year the Orioles won in walk-off fashion on Opening Day at Camden Yards, and the victory was the club's eighth straight on Opening Day, extending the longest active streak for an American League team. Five straight losses would follow, the first of 11 losing streaks of five games or more.
