Minority High School Journalism Program at The Baltimore Sun
About the program
The minority journalism program will be an opportunity for The Baltimore Sun to encourage ethnic minority high school students in the Baltimore metropolitan area to get a first hand look at the world of newspaper journalism and hopefully cultivate a new generation of journalists.
The students will be required to attend weekly classes and complete assignments and stories. A group of reporters and editors will teach the class from a prepared syllabus and text.
1. An ethnic minority (Black, Hispanic, Asian, American Indian, Pacific Islander)
2. A junior or senior in high school
3. Enrolled in a high school within the Baltimore-metropolitan area
