Fans of the Ivy Bookshop in North Baltimore got some good news today, with the announcement that new owners have been found. Ann and Ed Berlin will take ownership in January, according to an email from store owner Darielle Linehan.
She said the "Berlins currently live in the New York area where Ann is a Vice President in the Higher Education Division at John Wiley Publishers, having worked in publishing throughout her career. She holds an MBA from NYU.
"Ed is a native of Baltimore, attended City College, UMBC and received his law degree from University of Maryland and most recently his masters degree in International Relations at NYU. Ed has held senior management positions at Citibank, Deutsche Bank and Thomson Reuters."
Running an independent booskstore these days in a big challenge. Here's hoping the new team can keep the Ivy strong.
