The Giant Food in Timonium will host a Healthy Kids Summit on Oct. 30. Experts will discuss childhood obesity and present healthy options for families, including nutritional and fitness habits.
Panelists will include:
- Courtney Winston, manager of food and nutrition services, Partnership for a Healthier America
- Mel Brennan, vice-president of program integration, YMCA of Central Maryland
- Aida Blanco, executive chef, Maryland Food Bank
- Dr. Linda Grossman, director, bureau of clinical services, Baltimore Department of Health
The summit will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the 2145 York Road location. A light, healthy lunch will be served immediately following the panel discussion.
