Flamingo chicks at the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore sent Jess Phillips, who manages the zoo's Penguin Coast exhibit, to Cape Town, South Africa, to assist in the rescue of hundreds of flamingo chicks that were abandoned by their parents.
