Alma Cocina Latina's arepas

Baltimore quickly became enthralled with the Venezuelan restaurant and its array of inspired arepas when it opened in 2015. The restaurant's chefs added a contemporary twist to the popular street food with various fillings that give each handheld, grilled corn cake its own personality. We like them all, from La Nacional, with succulent shredded beef in tomato sauce with caramelized plantains and slow-cooked black beans, to the suckling pig sauteed with peppers and onions. Order two and call it a day.
