HomeGoods, the discount home decor and furniture store, is opening a new location in Abingdon on Sunday, Oct. 23.

And, Sperry Top-Sider, which sells "nautically inspired" clothing and shoes that would be appropriate on any sailboat, opened a store this month in Annapolis near City Dock.
