Giant Food is re-freshing its Nature's Promise brand, labeling the line's natural products "Free from" to clearly show the absence of artificial ingredients, the grocer announced.

The retailer introduced Nature's Promise, which also includes USDA-certified organic products, in 2004.

"Customers continue to ask us for more organic and 'Free from' choices in our stores," said Juan De Paoli, senior vice president - own brands for Giant Food owner Ahold USA. "With this refresh, we continue to innovate within our Nature's Promise brand, bringing new solutions and more transparency to help our customers eat well and save money."

All Nature's Promise "Free from" products have no artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Nature's Promise "Free from" household products have no harsh chemicals, including added artificial dyes and fragrances.

Giant sells more than 800 Nature's Promise products in the fresh, grocery, health and beauty, and household categories. New products include all-purpose household cleaners, hand soaps, vitamins, baby food, spices, artisan breads, marinades and turkey bacon.
