The starting rotation appears to be up to its old tricks, with Ubaldo Jimenez struggling and starters generally requiring at least three innings of relief, but it’s difficult to complain about the results. The rotation pitched to a combined 3-1 record and 3.34 ERA and the two games the Orioles lost last week featured solid performances by the starting pitcher, most recently when newcomer Alec Asher (pictured) pitched a terrific game in his O’s debut on Saturday and did not get any run support. Sometimes, it is better to be lucky than good and Jimenez is the proof. He has pitched poorly in both of his starts this season and the Orioles have won both games.
