Lennar

The future is here today, thanks to state-of-the art technology being offered by one of the nation's leading homebuilders.  In all 10 of its communities throughout Maryland and Delaware, Lennar is providing Schlage's LiNK® Home Automation System as part of its signature Everything's Included™, meaning this top-of-the-line technology comes standard in all homes rather than being offered as a costly add-on.  With Home Automation homeowners will have the ability to enable doors to be unlocked, see who has accessed their LiNK deadbolt locks, turn lights on and off, control the thermostat and view a live video feed of the home's interior.

"It is Lennar's goal to stay on top of cutting-edge trends in homebuilding, and we're excited to be the only national builder offering such an advanced technology solution to homebuyers in the greater Baltimore area," said Lennar Maryland Division President John R. White.

The Home Automation System is more than an exciting technology gadget, though.  The system saves homeowners time, energy and money with its mix of in-home and remotely controlled smart features.

With door locks that use numeric codes as well as keys, for example, homeowners no longer have to worry about being locked out of their own home.  And by enabling doors to be unlocked remotely, homeowners can grant access to service providers such as the cable company or housekeeper without having to take time from work or other activities.  Adding, deleting or modifying users and their capabilities is a breeze, eliminating the need to get keys made for the in-laws or babysitter.

In addition to convenience, Lennar's Home Automation System also offers exceptional peace of mind.  While turning the lights off after leaving home can save on energy costs, setting a schedule to turn the lights on at night while being hundreds of miles away can make vacation more relaxing and stress-free.  Likewise, leaving your child home alone for the first time can give them a sense of independence and responsibility, but being able to check in on them via video link from your smartphone can help settle anxiety over such a big step.

"Homeowners can also set up notifications that will send an email or text message when doors are locked or unlocked," added White, "so parents can know when their children have come home from school regardless of where they may be during their busy day.

Lennar has two communities in the greater Baltimore area, both of which include the new Home Automation system as a standard feature.  Fieldstone offers townhomes from the $330s and is located near the intersection of Brock Bridge and Whiskey Bottom roads in Laurel.  The community is minutes from Baltimore-Washington Parkway, making residents' commute into the city quick and painless.

Lennar also offers one- and two-car garage townhomes as well as single-family homes at Tanyard Springs, which is conveniently located between Marley Neck and Solley roads in Glen Burnie.  The newest phase at Tanyard Springs offers a final chance to be part of this popular, affordable community boasting luxury features and easy access to Maryland's major metro areas of Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

A winner of the 2011 Land Development Council's Excellence in Community Development Award given by the Home Builders Association of Maryland, Tanyard Springs offers a variety of townhome plans.  The well-designed Bellhaven plan is a three-story townhome offering two spacious bedrooms and two and half bathrooms in just under 1,300 square feet of living space, with a one-car garage on the ground level.  The Stanford and the Waterford both feature three bedrooms, two full and two half baths and a two-car garage.

Bellhaven townhomes start as low as the $190s, while the three-bedroom plans begin in the high $200s.  Tanyard Springs' new phase also includes a selection of single-family homes, ranging from around 2,200 to more than 4,000 square feet, with prices from the $370s.

"Tanyard Springs has consistently been the top-selling community in Anne Arundel County," said White.  "We continue to have a lot of homebuyers who are interested in these townhomes, and we're excited to offer an additional phase and accommodate even more people who want to be part of this special community.

The Everything's Included package in Tanyard Springs comes not only with the ultimate Home Automation package but also with a full GE appliance package, including refrigerator and microwave.  In addition, Lennar is currently offering its designer kitchen package in all new Tanyard Springs homes, which includes upgraded staggered oak cabinets, granite-top kitchen island and recessed lighting.

Tanyard Springs residents will have plenty of activities mere steps from their front door, with the community featuring such excellent amenities as a state-of-the-art fitness center, Olympic-size swimming pool and a wading pool for kids, plus a large clubhouse, dog park and more.  The community's convenient location provides residents with easy access to first-class shopping, restaurants, recreation and major thoroughfares to take commuters to Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington, D.C.
