My name is Jasmine Wiggins, and I first got the inkling that maybe I was different from the other kids when I was at home watching Martha Stewart in the mornings instead of Power Rangers. Even my mom didn't quite understand it. I went on to major in journalism at Northwestern University, but I couldn't let art go. I liked living in it, and I loved making it. Why couldn't I apply design philosophies to my whole life? I developed a passion for improving all the things we encounter in our daily lives. Making it better. Making it look good. Making it fresh. There's a lot of power in making things yourself. You can save money, add a personal touch, save the environment, improve your health and even impress someone enough to like you.
