A former Married in Maryland blogger ties the knot

Married in Maryland gives locals a chance to share their wedding experiences throughout the planning process. The blogger writes up until just before his or her big day, but don't you want to know how it went?

I would like to share how former blogger Katie Mercado (now MacNichol)'s wedding went. Katie is one of my best friends and I was lucky enough to be asked to be a bridesmaid.  Her wedding weekend was absolutely perfect, and I think I can speak for her when I say it was just as she imagined it would be.

Katie and Sam's wedding ceremony and reception were held at Morningside Inn in Frederick. The bridal party and family all went up Friday for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside but people were a little nervous about the weather because Friday was a bit chilly and windy. We practiced and then proceeded to go to Barley and Hops for the dinner after.

The rehearsal dinner was delicious and Katie and Sam gave the bridal party such personalized and thoughtful gifts. After dinner, we all went to the hotel and hung out a little, then it was time for beauty rest. Saturday morning came and the day was filled with breakfast with the ladies followed by hair and make-up appointments. After that, the girls all got ready together and did pictures.

The time had come, and the weather was holding up just beautifully.  There were clear skies, it was warm out and not breezy. It was all going to work out with holding the wedding outside.

The ceremony was gorgeous, as were the newlyweds. The food was out of this world, the music was fantastic and everything seemed just right!  They are now off on their honeymoon to make even more wonderful memories
