Perennially the 12 Best Days of Summer, fairgoers have been flocking to Timonium to enjoy horse racing, show off their prize livestock and agriculture and just generally celebrate life in the Free State since the 1870s. Look for a couple of major concerts (last year featured Halestorm and Sabrina Carpenter), a bunch of glitzy midway attractions (including games of skill you should know better than to play), tons of delicious — though probably not good for you — food and plenty of other joys of summer. Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road in Timonium. Ticket prices TBD. marylandstatefair.com.
