Baltimore Police on Monday announced an arrest in a homicide during a house party in West Baltimore earlier this month.

Police have charged Al Pete Gaymon III, 28, of East Baltimore, with first-degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Lewis Wright.

Police said officers found Wright suffering from gunshot wounds just before 2 a.m. on March 13 in the 1400 block of West Saratoga Street in the Franklin Square neighborhood.

According to charging documents, Wright was attending a party at a rowhome on West Saratoga with members of a “car club” he belonged to. At the house, police said Wright got into an argument with Gaymon and the two men stepped outside. Gaymon drew a handgun and fired four rounds at Wright.

Wright was taken to a nearby hospital where he died two days later.

Police located and interviewed witnesses, who identified Gaymon as the shooter, the charging document said.

Gaymon was arrested on March 23 and is being held at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center without bail. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.

Wright is was one of 26 people killed in Baltimore so far this month. The Baltimore Sun could not reach his family for comment on Monday.
