This isn't an easy category to break into with the Academy often sticking to its usual suspects like Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Mary-Louise Parker, but "Ugly Betty''s America Ferrera was left off the list this morning, making room for Collette whose nomination is more than well deserved. After all, as a wife and mother struggling with Dissociative Identity Disorder on "United States of Tara," she plays not one, but five characters. And she plays them well.
