'White House Down'

After "Olympus Has Fallen," 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. comes under attack from enemies again - moviewise, that is - in this adventure from director Roland Emmerich, who certainly does things big, as such other movies as "Independence Day" and "The Day After Tomorrow" also prove.

Apart from the plentiful pyrotechnics, he also gets lots of mileage from the enjoyable teamwork of Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum as (respectively) the president and the policeman trying to save him. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Richard Jenkins, James Woods and Jason Clarke also are in the cast. DVD extras: four "making-of" documentaries. *** (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray and On Demand)
