'Pacific Rim'

Release date: July 12

Guillermo del Toro's fanboy dreams are coming to life in his upcoming giant monsters versus giant robots movie "Pacific Rim." The film brings together "Sons of Anarchy" leads Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's" Charlie Day, "Thor's" Idris Elba and "Babel's" Rinko Kinkuchi for a project that looks to be reminiscent of classic Japanese monster films. Not much has been revealed of the movie, but what has been shown has looked visually impressive. Del Toro has proved time and again that he's a master world-builder, so it's exciting to see him tackle an original idea once again.
