Stephen Chow, the man who put the spin on the soccer ball in "Shaolin Soccer" and the hustle in "Kung Fu Hustle" as both director and star, will only do the latter in Columbia Picture's take on "The Green Hornet," according to Variety.
Citing "creative differences," Chow stepped out as director, but will remain as Kato in the crime-fighting flick. Martial-artist legend Bruce Lee made the role what it was in the 1960s television version, now Chow will bust his moves in the role that began on radio in the 1930s.
Chow will co-star with the fellow who also co-wrote the script, Seth Rogen. Rogen will be playing the masked crime fighter, Green Hornet, himself.
