Malese Jow

Last TV role: "Big Time Rush" (recurring, 2012)

Why we want her back: Young-looking and cute, she somehow plays the hardcore, kick-a** characters perfectly. There's really no chance of a return to "The Vampire Diaries," but surely TV needs another tough girl.

Suggested role: "The Tomorrow People" -- The CW is reworking this sci-fi series, and Jow would be awesome in the role of Astrid, the no-nonsense and loyal best friend of the show's central character, Stephen. Plus, it would keep Jow firmly in the CW family.
