The Underdog: Rocky Balboa

Rocky ( Sylvester Stallone) is the poster child for underdogs everywhere. The guy lived in a studio apartment with his turtles and had no real aspirations until his name, The Italian Stallion, garnered attention. From that point on, the kind-hearted debt collector for a loan shark gets a chance to go toe-to-toe with the heavyweight boxing champion on national television. The act, more a stunt than a real shot, put the small-time gent who talks out the side of his mouth on the map and proved that he was more than just a bum from the neighborhood. He held his own when everyone doubted him. He got up those steps, got respect and got his woman…yo, Adrian!
