Premise: A remake of the 1980s miniseries-turned-weekly show about aliens whose seeming benevolence after arriving on Earth masks a sinister motive.
Why we'd like to see it: Updating generations-old science fiction can turn out to be really good ("Battlestar Galactica") or really dicey (the recent "Day the Earth Stood Still" remake). We're hoping "V," which "The 4400" creator Scott Peters is writing and executive producing and which stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut and Scott Wolf, will fall into the former category.
